Do all the different nutrition tips confuse you?
Are you having a hard time losing weight or keeping it off?
Are you interested in learning more about health, wellness, weight management, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle?
There certainly isn’t a shortage of fad diets out there, each one promising results with little to no effort. In many cases these diets are characterized by highly restrictive food choices that can lead to serious health problems.
These “quick fix” solutions are NOT the answer.
Fad diets aren’t necessarily healthy and don’t help you keep the weight off in the long term. So, what does work? Surprisingly, the best diet is not a diet at all, but a way of life that includes balance, mindfulness and a healthy relationship with food.
Ever purchased a gym membership but became overwhelmed by all the types of equipment?
Have you had a hard time keeping up with group classes?
Better yet, do you only go to the gym for an “executive workout” (AKA, a shower)?
You’re not alone. Many people, especially those over the age of 40, have a hard time keeping up with gyms, and therefore don’t receive their much-needed exercise.
The FoodaFit System™ offers a 5 + 5 step approach to achieve healthy eating and smart fitness.
Not only do we incorporate our scientific background in food, nutrition, and fitness, but we also grant you practical, effective solutions to fitness and nutrition with your goals in mind.
We meet with our clients to provide a thorough evaluation of their daily food intakes.
We help our clients set realistic and approachable goals. We also provide tools to monitor their food intake, e.g. stress-eating, water intake, eating times and quantities.
Food & Nutrition ABCs teach our clients about “good” vs. “bad” foods & “moderation” vs. "guilt-free” foods. We show our clients how to identify various food groups, better understand nutrition labels, and shop for their health goals.
We offer smart & simple cooking classes to introduce our clients to new recipes, ingredients, and meal ideas.
We meet with our clients one-on-one periodically to evaluate their progress and modify the customized plans as appropriate.
We first meet with our clients to understand their health history, whether they're permitted for fitness by their physicians, and evaluate their fitness levels as appropriate.
We help our clients set up realistic fitness goals and identify a plan to achieve them.
We offer fitness classes to teach the fundamentals, focusing on simple yet effective exercises. Most of the movements do not require equipment. We also occasionally go on hikes and other outdoor activities to stay active.
Stress management: our relaxation courses enable our clients to release tensions that are associated with desk-work, long periods of inactivity, etc.
We gradually alter our fitness plans based on our clients’ improvements and needs in order to see continued progress. We offer one-on-one “tune-ups” with additional fees.
